Who is Pelopidas?

Pronunciation: \pə-ˈlä-pə-dəs\

Many people know that great brands often start with legendary names from Greco-Roman history.

Since the name for the Greek goddess of victory and power apparently went to some shoe company, we thought the legend of Pelopidas, who founded the Sacred Band of Brothers , and was known for freedom-fighting, philanthropy, and community service, seemed like a fitting second choice.

Travis and Rachel Keller Brown, our founders, wanted to build a team network of advocates – for advocates. An advocate, according to the Webster dictionary, is simply one that pleads the cause of another.

The team at Pelopidas represents a professional network of advocates, coalition partners, and support staff designed to fight with and for the freedoms that you may hold dear. It’s the freedom to operate in our country. It’s our economic freedom to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness with a quality education for every individual. It’s the freedom to give back from the gifts given to you. Ultimately, it’s the freedom to help you…be you.

Our clients tend to prefer their own brand of expressions and experiences. If they wanted to keep their causes ordinary, on ordinary growth rates, they would hire ordinary people to help them.
